Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed by my emotions. My soul feels so weak, it cries out without warning. I want to scream so loud that I shake the world like an earthquake. Hoping it will me wake me up. I get lost in my thoughts like a maze, trying so hard to find the exit or a hole in the wall.
Marilyn Monroe, was an amazing women she had brains and beauty. Most people believed that Marilyn was a stupid woman getting by on just her looks, but I know that she was so much more than that. Marilyn was a very smart woman and not many people got to see or know that Marilyn. She was a woman who women hated and men loved and as a woman I can say that other women are our biggest critics. Marilyn is my idol she was everything I strive to be as a woman struggling in a society where men still believe they are superior. Now I know you must be thinking we have past that era in time were men thought they had control over women or more say than women but I know that to be false. Men still feel in some way superior over women, and do not get me wrong I know it is not all men but most men. As a women of independance I say this because I have men showing me this side of todays society all the time. Marilyn was like a light in a dark room, she shined. She wanted to show the world who she was and that she had spark, but she let the men think they were superior all though she was much smarter than them by a long shot, she knew what she was doing and how to get what she wanted. Marilyn became a world wide icon, she was something no one had ever seen before, she was a bombshell who was not afraid to be sexy, she embraced her sexiness and her curvy body but she did it with class. I want to someday be able to say that I accomplished all that I wanted to on my own with no help from anyone, I want to be remembered for being smart and witty and having no fear of how others saw me , I want people to say I embraced who I was as a woman. My point here is that a lot of people see Marilyn as nothing more than a sex symbol , and I know this is because she was sexy and beautiful and men drooled over her, but she in fact was so much more than that. Marilyn’s quotes are so inspiring for women, I believe every girl should be informed about who she was not just about how she looked in a photo because I think if more women had the confidence and spark Marilyn had women would finally make men feel that we are not just pretty to look at but we are nice to listen to. So for all the women reading this, find your inner Marilyn and embrace her, embrace yourself, be independant, be you and remeber smile because there is so much to smile about !
I don’t know about every one else but i happen to enjoy cooking and eating. I don’t want to cook for a living but i do enjoy it. To me cooking is like being an artist in a way, you take all these ingredients and come up with this end product that is full of flavor and amazing colors. I feel it is like painting a picture you take all these different colors and make something beautiful and full of colors. They are both expressions of feeling and ment for others to enjoy. So next time you go to cook a meal or eat a meal think about it as if you were in a musem about to admire a painting or you are the painter about to embark on a journey of your thoughts.
My boyfriend who is a Marine who is currently on base in NC just called me to tell me that simple man was playing and he just wanted to tell me that he loves me more than anything in this world. The reason simple man made him wana call me and say that is because his best friend pasted away when we were young he was 16 and his favorite song to play on the drums was simple man. I cryed as soon as he said ” baby I had to call you because simple man is on” I said ” baby you okay ? ” He said ” I just wana tell you that I love you more than anything in this world and I can’t stand being apart.” I immediately cried and said “baby I love you more than life it’s self.” This man is my everything five years of ups and downs and we are still standing. I knew from the moment we met that he was my soul mate and the man I would spend the rest of my life with. I can’t picture my life any other way. I am so happy I have found him or as I like to say that he found me. And even though our situation may not be perfect it makes us stronger. I love my marine.
Sometimes I find myself getting lost in my own mind, in my own thoughts. I am what you call a dreamer. I dream all the time not only when I sleep. If i begin to even think of something more than a minute my mind takes off into it’s own world. I get lost inside of my own mind where everything seems to have an answer, a way or a happy medium. I believe that everthing can be worked out and that you yourself can accomplish anything if you believe in you and if you believe you can do it. I dream of things that I know I can do that I may not have started to do yet but eventually I will begin on the path to obtaining it. I am more of a realistic dreamer, now do not get me wrong I do dream of unrealistic things but I keep in mind that they are unrealistic. I am a very understanding and easy going person I believe that helps me to accept the fact that you can not have everything you desire to have or everything that you dream of having, but I do know if I really want to turn my dreams into realities then I have to make them happen. People say dreamers are foolish but I say what would the world be like without us dreamers ?
Being a marine girlfriend can be stressful at times and also hard to deal with. But when you love someone you learn to deal with things you normally wouldn’t be able to do. When you are n a relationship with anyone not just someone in the military there are ups and downs and if you can make it through the downside of your relationship then you know it is real. The situation I am in makes me stronger and it us stronger as a couple. We cherish our time together more than a normal couple because we do not have that luxury all the time. My boyfriend was home for a month and just recently left and the adjustment has been very hard but I am staying strong.
Sometimes in life you come upon situations that are confusing to the mind and to the heart. These situations are ment for you learn from them and to grow from them. Without situations of sadness, hurt, judgement, anger, or confusion we would all be the same person with the same views on life and no morals as to what it is like to feel. You are entitled to these emotions of your own because you are an individual. Do not ever let any one take away your individuality, it is who you are and it separates you from the crowd. A little confusion is needed in life sometimes. So when you are feeling confused step back and let yourself feel your own emotions.
